Nationwide private purchase collection
Baba Vehicle Recovery arranges transport from the seller or auction location to a home, workshop, dealer, storage address or another agreed UK destination. The buyer supplies the release details and honest vehicle condition so collection can be planned with suitable equipment.
Information needed before collection
Collection rules differ between sellers, branches and sale types. For this service, check seller name and full address, payment and ownership completion, keys and V5C availability, honest running and rolling condition. We also need the exact destination postcode and the name and telephone number of the receiving contact.
- Seller name and full address
- Payment and ownership completion
- Keys and V5C availability
- Honest running and rolling condition
- Full delivery postcode and preferred timing
- Photographs of visible damage and every affected wheel
Run-and-drive does not guarantee easy loading
An auction description is not a complete recovery assessment. A vehicle may start yet still have a flat battery, low tyre, locked brake, damaged suspension or missing key. Conversely, many non-runners can be transported safely when their wheels, steering and loading access are understood before dispatch.
Damaged and salvage vehicle transport
Send wide photographs of the complete vehicle and close-ups of damaged wheels, steering, suspension, bodywork and ground clearance. Tell us if panels are loose, airbags have deployed, fluids are leaking or parts sit close to the ground. Undisclosed damage can make the assigned transporter unsuitable.
Pickup evidence and delivery updates
Vehicle condition can be photographed once loaded, collection progress can be reported and live journey tracking may be shared where available. At delivery, photographs or confirmation from the receiving contact can evidence the handover. Check keys and any V5C or supplied documents at the appropriate stage.
Collection booking and deadlines
The customer remains responsible for seller payment, release authorisation, storage deadlines and collection appointments. Confirm all requirements directly with the seller before booking transport. The customer should complete their own ownership, identity and vehicle-history checks before transport; collection does not verify the sale.
How auction transport is priced
The quote considers the branch or seller location, delivery postcode, route distance, vehicle size and weight, condition, loading equipment and collection timing. A deposit may confirm the assignment, with the remaining payment arrangement agreed before collection.

What reference should I send?
Send the lot, stock, order or release reference used by the seller, together with the buyer or member details required for collection.
Can you collect a vehicle with a flat battery?
Often yes. Tell us in advance. Where safe and suitable, battery assistance may help confirm whether the vehicle can run for loading.
Can you collect without keys?
It may require different equipment and seller permission. Confirm the wheel and steering condition and send photographs before accepting a quote.
